Pretty darn good
High points for ambition and quality, with a few points off due to technical stuff, like no play button on the title page, and mostly unreadable text.
Excellent work!
there is actually a very faint play button that takes the place of the also very faint loading bar but thank you
yeah i hate the text for um the scene where the guy is talking, i know his voice is hardly understandable so i really should have revised the text.
I actually might edit this and do that.
Seems to be bugged.
The play button on the title page loops back to the title page.
This will be a good game once the glitches are worked out.
1. Clicking the mouse button does not always open the action icons. This seems to get worse after day 2.
2. Even if you have the proper resources, you can't build turrets or other gobots
3. A more in-depth tutorial is needed, perhaps that explains some of the buildings, or how to plant trees.
Looks pretty good so far!
Control Scheme needs work
Generally it is not a good idea to use the arrow keys and the mouse. If you need to use the mouse to shoot, movement should use wasd keys. Also, the ctrl key is awkward to reach from the arrow keys. Using up or w to jump would be a tighter control scheme.
If you want to keep movement on the arrow keys, I would recommend using up to jump, and spacebar to shoot.
I'm not sure about the paid addition, but the free version only limits movement to arrow keys and jump to either shift, ctrl, or up + left/right. I made it ctrl because with up + left/right requires the tank to be moving when it jumps, and shift is just about the same as ctrl. Sorry
Good not great.
Well-produced, but the interface needs work. It is not very apparent what constitutes an interactive object, and the puzzles feel counter-intuitive as a result. It forces the player to rely too much on the hints/walkthrough.
Yeah, I agree there are some tough spots in there, sorry you found it counter-intuitive :( Thanks for reviewing however!
