This will be a good game once the glitches are worked out.

1. Clicking the mouse button does not always open the action icons. This seems to get worse after day 2.

2. Even if you have the proper resources, you can't build turrets or other gobots

3. A more in-depth tutorial is needed, perhaps that explains some of the buildings, or how to plant trees.

Looks pretty good so far!

Control Scheme needs work

Generally it is not a good idea to use the arrow keys and the mouse. If you need to use the mouse to shoot, movement should use wasd keys. Also, the ctrl key is awkward to reach from the arrow keys. Using up or w to jump would be a tighter control scheme.

If you want to keep movement on the arrow keys, I would recommend using up to jump, and spacebar to shoot.

Uchumaru08 responds:

I'm not sure about the paid addition, but the free version only limits movement to arrow keys and jump to either shift, ctrl, or up + left/right. I made it ctrl because with up + left/right requires the tank to be moving when it jumps, and shift is just about the same as ctrl. Sorry

Good not great.

Well-produced, but the interface needs work. It is not very apparent what constitutes an interactive object, and the puzzles feel counter-intuitive as a result. It forces the player to rely too much on the hints/walkthrough.

OzMafioso responds:

Yeah, I agree there are some tough spots in there, sorry you found it counter-intuitive :( Thanks for reviewing however!

Excellent idea, great execution

But some suggestions:

Visual elements are occasionally causing some slowdown, making the rhythm erratic at times. There may be a way to code these visual elements to reduce this.

I would also suggest that as drum elements are added to the wheels, they should maybe "snap to" the nearest 16th or 32nd beat, making it impossible to play an arhythmic element.

The UI, graphics, and concept are great! Word to your instructor, this is a good project!

Not bad at all!

In fact, pretty good! It could use a little tweaking. The motion and hit collision feel abrupt, and could use a little tuning.

Technically good, no points for originality.

Direct copy of Gold Miner, with less polish and gameplay elements. Competently made, though.

Good game, bad controls.

Movement REALLY needs to be changed to WASD. Working the mouse and the space bar with the arrow keys is too awkward. This change would make this a far better game.

RubberRepublic responds:

Use the left-click on the mouse to shoot, not the spacebar!

Nothing bad

But still pretty bland. Needs polish, but what is there works.

SLick presentation, but it's still tic-tac-toe

Yeah, it's just tic-tac-toe. Still, you made some good sound and graphic decisions, and managed to make this something I wasted 5 minutes on.

Already blammed once

And no significant changes have been made.

Blarg?
